Wedding Dj Things To Say What Are Your Thoughts On Using An IPod At The Wedding Instead Of Hiring A DJ?

What are your thoughts on using an iPod at the wedding instead of hiring a DJ? - wedding dj things to say

I can not justify hiring, spending $ 700 + + to be a DJ, the same things that can make my iPod. If attending a wedding where someone songs from an iPod, instead of places to go via a DJ played, what do you think?

I'm on 18 Married in October, and do not you hire a DJ, I'm an advocate of the total instead of your own iPod. Here are my pros and cons (my husband and I) are very careful with this option:

Strengths:
* Use an iPod could essentially be free, provided you have all the songs you want and have an A / V or stereo system is available (or at least the system can be used in its place of receipt). This could be a substantial savings on your wedding budget.
* Your playlist is entirely yours, you know exactly what to play and what not. And in what order.

Weaknesses:
* You must hire a person who is responsible for playing the songs. Even if you have a combo box must always be someone responsible and stop the music at the right time as cutting the cake. This person must be pretty sober during the recording, when a young person could be that only roughly.
* They need someone to make and somehow (eg microphone) for announcements at the reception. You must SomeoNE is announced at the wedding dance where the first ball, when the father / daughter, if the cake cutting, etc. will be
* Someone must be responsible for creating and recording the system.

It seems there are more disadvantages than advantages of using an iPod instead of a DJ, but the severity of the two options of Pro makes far outweigh the negative ones. Use your iPod!

I have weddings, using the iPod (or similar) as the DJ and the room vacated visited almost immediately in most cases. Chosen primarily because the music has to hear a lot of fun, but it was not even dancing. And unlike a DJ, the thousands of songs that will be changed immediately if the song does not work for people, if your song list does not not work with the audience and dance, they're screwed because you can not change it.

I think you think you're wrong, that can replace the iPod is not a DJ. A professional in a position to do justice to his neighbors, and a variety of songs. With an iPod it is what is expected to play. But once arrived there, you can not really change his choice of music. And I always need someone around, and the iPod break for several things, such as cutting the cake. I think there are many drawbacks to an iPod, do not expect the people.

Who will be the MC for you? A DJ not only plays music, a DJ to make your reception, we present in the courtroom, using a bus for toasts and grace, were the first dance. As the music must be someone controlling the dance floor. The iPod is knowing when to play a slow song, requests, or that certain types of music simply does not work? You or someone in your party is obligated to spend the night there. Finally, you are connected to which devices on your iPod? First, rental equipment, you'll probably save $ 300 at best unreliable, and is required due to abuse. More importantly, will soon be published and for you, and then stay over night, then you bring it up and bring them home? You know what ports to use? Ask your guests or a family member or friend, save the free-especially for work, hundreds of dollars because you are too busy to manage themselves. Money for your wedding, do it well.

I believe that something was missing. Unless you are in a typical dinner and dance for the marriage.

While the iPod can play music, you can not measure the mass and the applications make it very simple. A DJ can know whether this is what's playing is not good, and things can change quickly. A DJ can also interact with customers and improve the fit. A DJ also serves the music that he / she makes presentations, and could reduce the microphone when the best man in the trash and try to re-toast.
There are things to pay and I think a DJ is one of them.

There is nothing wrong with a friend in charge of recorded music instead of a live band or DJ. But keep in mind that DJs do more than play music. For example, when people go to sea with the table in the cup holder kiss, so that the couple ... again "thing, the DJs are willing to accept this situation by the announcement will end $ 20 for the privilege of" buy "a kiss of the couple's expense. DJs know when to provide the volume so that people can not hear others (and thus Avoid unpleasant situations) or the volume so that someone can make an important announcment. If you have friends that are able to be entrusted with the task well, for you. But I think after 2 hours of recorded music, then would have to foot a excellent idea.

The difference between an iPod and a DJ is that the DJ can the needs, interests and activities to meet the wedding crowd. When things can go too slow you into something that it is up a notch. If a group seems to be ruled out, he / she shall include everything from a playlist that you can have. A DJ is an artist, not just someone who plays songs.

Do I use the iPod, but also for background music. The reception is at my house, and there is dancing, then (me and the soon-to-be-Stepkids) produced background light classical music, including some Christmas (non-religious matters Uber) and others. Nobody wants to play me, 3 hours from Weird Al and Alice Cooper (except for long trips), so that my clients are safe. But I think my place is for an iPod, not only includes a good choice for a big wedding, the dance.

My friend was invited to the "iPod DJ" at a friend's wedding this summer. The couple had met a few different playlists - BF my task was to start the music for the dinner, take a break during the courtship, toasts, put her first dance, songs and dances of the family, then start the music in dance general.

It seemed in bad taste or cheap - it was intelligent and personal. The couple had to songs they hear not like, and who is not. They were the right music for dinner and then select continue the pace of the dance numbers. They had a DJ announcements Corny stupid or play the songs that make them hate. Overall, everything went well - everything she was fantastic for the car to pay speakers.

I think it is a fantastic opportunity and I would really like to do on my own wedding. My only advice is to have a backup plan - laptop, iPod, extra, extra cables, etc. - in the event that something happens to the first. Batteries and the electronic flash at worst possibTime, so it's good to have a spare, just in case.

We have iPods, they would not need a CD and bring some CDs. I do not expect many people continue to dance, even if they hired a DJ. My own father is not the dance of the father of the girl. So, if only the dances that are danced the bride and groom first dance, and are perhaps the mother, then what is the point of spending all this money on a DJ?

I do not think we would lose people if we jumped together to dance, but at least I'll try. I have an idea of the song requests online in the RSVP card. Do so, then it is at least one song that everyone loves.

The people are what is so difficult to make as someone who spent walking and be more than a song!

I intend to do the same. If we want a DJ can be found for a reasonable price (if) space for a DJ on our limited budget and even less suited to our laptop and create a playlist of music for the reception. We have not yet begun collecting DJs yet, but I think they are about $ 500 in our region. The problem is that if you can not hire a DJ to pay more to rent sound equipment at the right side, it could in the end, perhaps because it easier to pay DJ

I think it is a smart way to think of saving money. But remember that music is one of the most important things at the wedding. People will enjoy the music you choose? Has the team as speakers, etc.? Also, remember that DJ is also the program knows when he knows that, playing his first song that played music special cake cutting. If you agree to go with everything.

Their marriage, who cares wat think.we PPL, a DJ at our wedding, but his friend, he does it for him, it was not would just free.if the jukebox or something Why spend thousands of people have been cut in many places, such as We costwise
1. We can not afford to pay the money they did not lose
2. We do not in debt for
3. May go to 2000 or 20000 and have exactly the same thing about marriage outcome.a declare his love and commitment, show no

We were lucky, DJs and friends so that we are with her and the wedding.

However, the idea of the iPod, as long as you could fine someone to work there and thousands of songs to choose from. I pay a teenager $ 50 bonus, and ensure that the music continues to change and until May, when people are bored.

Good luck!

Our website has a system in the PC speaker is inside and outside on the terrace. Let's play music (presumably pre-installed CD or iPod), there is a part of the reception.

We also have a piano player .. will play during dinner, cut cake and much more.

I see no reason to have "to have" a DJ or ... This is just food for the wedding, that many refuse to spend more.

I think it's a good idea. I mean, saves space in the reception area, which saves money and saves time! Make a playlist and Let it GO! I assure you, if you have any songs your iPod can be kept on the offensive or embarrassing, when I hear-laws! Congratulations and good luck!

"I said WE!" said...

I agree, Kitana. It is useless to spend + $ 700 for a DJ, if you "plan to shoot" at the reception. Why do you make your own playlist and have a (reliable) friend to help him "DJ" Reading lists that you created? That's what we do not plan to because our friends and family as the music really well, but not necessarily a theme party. If you really relaxed, or if you want a "back-in-the-day dance-in-the-life-r ... a little thing, go and good luck!

Do not listen to all the negative comments ... 1.11.09 I'm getting married, and we use an i-pod instead of a DJ. It's just not worth the money ... My plan is to provide a "ready" so that we can stream music and humor should be adjusted accordingly. DJ's can be so annoying anyway. Just name someone "in charge" if you do not do to take care of themselves.

Congratulations!

I do not think anything. It's your wedding.

Make sure you buy a docking station or when all is lost.

Sony has a strong wireless at this point is fine and is quite strong. They work and can walk freely in the game while the choice of title!

I have never, but it's your wedding, so if you do not want to pay for a DJ, then it is not necessary. You need to see the site and if the sound quality though.

I think it's a good idea!

You could ask a friend, "responsible". Push correct pause if necessary, the song at the right time, etc., I would do it if you ask a friend!

I think it's good, that's what I was at my wedding, and went to the perfection. Make sure battery backups or power cable, and you should be ready!
